Truly Uplifting, Inspirational Lives

Today I'm sharing three short, real life, inspirational stories with you.  All three are totally different, having only in common a deep reverence and enthusiasm for life.  I believe each one is vastly important, or else I wouldn't be putting each here today.

I want you each to please take a few minutes to go to the linlks I'm giving you in the order I'm listing them.

The first short piece is told in very uplifting words, written from the heart.  It has deep spiritual implications for us all. I can really identify with the woman who wrote it,  because she is about my age and diabetic.  The story itself is reflections on Steve Irwin's life and death, but not at all as you might think.  So - please take a brief few moments to read it.

It's:  Death, Where Is Thy Stingray?

The second story is graphically told through video, music and the fewest of written words, but all that are needed.  It is the story of a father and his son, Dick & Rick Hoyt.

So watch and listen:  With A Father's Love - He CAN!

The third story is that of a friend of our dear friend, David Persons, an attorney and colleague of mine.  Here's what David said about his friend, Mark Morice, who so eloquently shares his story and describes his actions through his words, sounds of others, video and voice:

"The guy in the video, Mark Morice, is a local attorney, whom I am proud to call one of my friends.  I know we're all kind of tired of the Katrina stuff.  However, Mark's video and his experience are truly incredible."  David

 Go to:  Mark Morice:  Screams for help led to resue of hundreds, lawsuit

You absolutely must watch Mark's video.  Then read the article about him now, one year later.

All three of these stories are ones you will come away from changed changed forever.  I have been.

Father - Thank you for the lives of such people among us here on earth who so lift our spirits by showing us the best of humanity and Godliness even in the worst of conditions, sometimes surrounded by those who would despitefully abuse them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
P. S.  If you don't have time to read and see all three right now, start with the first and come back to the other two in order as you have time the next few days.  You really don't want to miss them.  You really shouldn't miss any of them.
    For some reason I can’t watch the video and didn’t find any link to download the required player. But the article on Irwin’s death was excellent. I’d seen the Hoyt story a few years ago … very touching.
    Hey Dee — Great posts. The death of Steve Erwin has really made me so sad… I think what I loved about him was his absolute lack of cynicism.
    Thanks for the link,
    Dee,
    Thanks for your post.  I was able to read the first story but was unable to pull up the second.  Fortunately, I have seen the Hoyt story and have been moved each time I have seen it.  The third story made me sad.  I responded to the story with a comment.  I am sad we are a people who prize possessions over lives.  It is a sad commentary on our society of today.  Yet, not surprising.
    I don’t understand how the local, state and federal government, all failed in Katrina, but I hold people responsible for their own lives and taking warnings to leave when a major hurricane is coming your way!  I appreciate people, such as Morice that take the time and effort to make our society a better place, even to the risks of his own life and comfort.  We need more like him and the others in the other stories.
    Take care of yourself and again thanks for the post.
