Okay - enough of the resume for a little while.  Been inspired enough yet to "do more" with your life?!  I mean, I try.  I've been working on Tom now for 27 years or so.  But he reluctantly admits he's a much "better man" because of me and in spite of himself because he always resisted.  He thought he was perfect as he was.  ha~

Well, a bunch of blogging people I know are doing year's end reviews for the best of their posts for the year 2006.  So I thought I'd do something similar here today.  I'm going to give you the links to five of what I think are my best posts over the nearly two years I've been blogging.  You know me - always have to be just a bit different.

The first two are a pair of humorous ones I did early on in April 2005.  One reason I'm giving you the links here is because in keeping up with my stat counter and hits, I've had more hits to these two posts from "outside" the blogging world (as in searches on Google and Yahoo) than any other posts I've ever written.  I find that very interesting consider the topics under discussion of the two.

That's all I'm going to say.  You'll have to check them out and read them to see what I'm talking about.  So comment either to them directly or here today so I'll know what you guys think about them!  Okay?!

The first in the series of two is titled:  The Ultimate Gourmet Food

The second, and necessary follow up to the first (you'll see), is here:  Popped Perfection:  Preparation and Presentation

The next two posts are also humorous and the two I get the other two top hits on, which has surprised me greatly.   You see they are about one of my previous lives in the world's most hated profession!

Here they are:  The World's Most Hated Profession, Part 1

The second one is here: The World's Most Hated Profession, Part 2

I'm only giving you one more.  A serious one, because in the end, I'm a  serious person about life.  Just like to have a bit of fun along the way.

This one is one I've already repeated once, but it's still one of my all time favorites.  Here it is:  What Is Our Share Anyway?

Hope you enjoy the look back over some of the best of Finding Direction and the top of the top when it comes to the most hits in searches on Google and Yahoo!  Oh yeah - and leave me your comments so I'll know what you think about each of them.

Thanks & Cheers!  Dee

I guess one of these days I’ll have to just take the time to read your archives. I never knew there was so much to know about popcorn. I knew it was way too expensive at theaters and that the kettle corn is better than anything else I’ve eaten. Otherwise, my knowledge was limited to pop a bag in the microwave and be careful opening it when it’s done. Steam can be a serious burn!

As for the “dragon lady” blogs, they were interesting and entertaining. The attorney-to-be takes it to the lawyer-that-was!

As for our “share” … I’d rather be where you are today than where your friend is. It’s a sad life that cannot see beyond this life.

God’s blessings in the new year to you, Tom, and your loved ones, which would now include ME! I mean, you do love me, don’t you???

    Greg -

Of course, we love you, kiddo! I love you like my younger brother and told Mom to get the adoption papers all in order. You’re about the age my younger brother, Mark, would have been and about the same age as my sister, Laura.

As for going back to read my archives - of course you want to do that! One of my regular readers, Vonnie, did that not too long ago (didn’t you, Vonnie?!) She decided instead of picking up a new novel and reading it, she would read through my archives and comments from the beginning, which she did!

So, you can do that, too, and I’ll give you the Finding Direction Trivia Quiz when you’ve finished. Like asking what the original name of Finding Direction was. (Do you know? - I’ve given it before including in the answers to the Finding Direction Trivia Questions in one of the contests I held last year.)

It’s easier to go back through them all in Blogger, I think, although since I’ve switched I’ve had to go back to any of them I want to refer to to put the paragraphs back in in both Blogger and WordPress, so most might be a bit hard to read. Rather than that, I’ll just refer you to some of the best every once in a while if you’d like so you can get caught up, which I’m SURE you’ll want to do! ha! (After all, you only work one day a week! ha~)

    Later. Dee

you know I came along to this blog about the popcorn time. JD I remember warning me that you were a popcorn nut, or something like that.

Hope you have a great 007 (the year with a license to kill)

    Tommy -

JD said I was a “popcorn nazi” to quote him directly! And he did it surrepticiously in a comment he left over at your blog!! But I caught him anyway!

You’re right - that was when you and I first “found” each other and before we became such fast friends.

Happy New Year to you all and I hope many blessings come your way this year!

    Cheers! Dee
