My daycare kids learned early on about my hiccup cure. They'd say "I got the hiccups, I'll get the knife!" Yikes? They were referring to a butterknife. When you have the hiccups, place the end of a tableknife (not sharp) into a glass of water. Put the handle (also metal) against your temple and hold it there as you drink the water.
