This is my big brother, who I am proud of. He has the most amazing life, but just keeps moving further and further away. Do we smell that bad in Tennessee? See you soon brother.

Dee,

Thanks for posting the interview! As others have noted, this is a neat and different sort of thing you're doing with your blog. And, I appreciate the kind and encouraging words from those who've responded.

Brian, I was in Vicenza from January 83 until July of 84. I was a paratropper in the 1/509th (which eventually became part of the 82nd). I don't know the people you mentioned. If they are part of our fellowship, I wouldn't have met them. I was a very different, wild sort of a person, back then. I thank God that I was allowed me to live through that foolishness, giving me time to turn around by His good grace!

Dee, I like the interview thing.

Ben, I hope you'll keep on with the Church of Christ minister thing for a long time. We need more like you. Your assessment of the position, though, is dead on.

Ben: I've seen you "around" in blog land and always appreciated your comments and insights. I have preached for 30 years and will be leaving that role to work fulltime with my son, hopefully for the final chapters of my life. Your response to question 8: "What do you least like about your work?" hit the nail squarely on the head! That's exactly why ministry is so frustrating in our faith heritage. I've attended who-knows-how-many seminars only to come home and realize I can't use a word of it in our system. I quit going to church seminars several years ago for that reason. Thanks for sharing your "non-talented" life with us.
