I Have Literally FELT Your Prayers

June 14th, 2007 · 10 Comments · Uncategorized

I don’t have but a minute here right now because I’ve got to leave here in about 15 minutes for an appointment.  But I just wanted to let you all know that you have made a huge difference in my life in the last two and a half days with your prayers for me, hugs and good thoughts.  And I do mean HUGE!

My heart and my spirit are much more at peace and I am feeling at the moment (which is all of the time we have in this world anyway when we come down to the reality of it) the peace that passes understanding.

And things around me – things around me and in me – are going much better.  There has been a beehive of activity going on at our house in the past two days – and you note that I say in the past two days – and even with an unexpected plumbing leak (one of the later workers accidentally drove a nail through a copper pipe from the other side of the wall!), it definitely looks like our house will be finished enough to move into by the middle of next week.  For which I want to shout hallelujah.

In the meantime, yesterday Tom had to take me to see the retinologist  yesterday about the bleeding that goes on in both my eyes all of the time in small blood vessels in the retinas and they are both holding their own and doing really well right now for someone who has been a diabetic for more than 37 years.  So that was wonderful news.

In fact, my eyes are doing so well right now that he says I don’t need to come back (unless I start having vision problems) for six months, instead of in three.  Of course, the dilating drops they put in my eyes hasn’t completely gone away yet, so I can’t see much of anything still this morning, but it’s better.  Hopefully by this afternoon all of the dilation will have worn off and I’ll be able to see pretty well again.

That’s all I have time to write right now, but I’ll try to write a bit more about our house a bit later or in the morning.  They installed our carpet and wood flooring in the dining room yesterday and all of that looks great.  The main thing left to be done is to finish the kitchen up.  All of the appliances have been delivered but we don’t have counter tops on yet.  They were ordered weeks ago but haven’t been delivered as yet, as far as I know.  That could hold us up by several days if they don’t get in.

I appreciate y’all so much!  Your responses and emails have been very encouraging and uplifting and for that I am thankful to God.  Truly!

Cheers and blessings to you all today!  From me.  Dee

Good news on your eyes and house! Hope the rest of the “finishing up” goes w/out nails in water lines and cabinets installed in the wrong place. I’ve got boxes to pack!

You remain in my thoughts and prayers, dear sister! May the peace that passes all understanding be your constant companion throughout the day.

How about a holy “that’s what I’m talking about!” Praise be to God and the power of prayer. Praise be to Him for the good report about your eyes and your home.

Now we’ll continue to pray for sub’s whose aim with a hammer and nail are a little better than the guy who hit the pipe.

    Great news Dee!

Glad all is well. You have been in my prayers even when I haven’t had time to comment on blogs. Shouldn’t complain about not having time…today I am home sick, sneezing my head off, getting caught up till the eyes get so watery I can’t see….

Praise The Lord for answering our prayers! :-D

    God’s Grace.

Way to go, Dee. You are definitely doing something right if you don’t have to back for 6 months. Thrilled to hear your house is going so well and you are almost in there. Be sure you let us know when you are ready for visitors. ;)
    Prayers and hugs.

May God continue to heal you, and may you enter your home in triumph by the 30th! Thank you for being such an encouragement and blessing to all of us — including my son.
