Well, I broke down and did something I haven’t done in quite a while. I took a couple of online personality tests. They showed what just about every other personality test I’ve ever taken showed . That I’m introverted (which a lot of people who know me casually or maybe even here on my blog find surprising) and a visionary. I’m considered someone who is a good confidant because I tend to listen to people and to dig for the underlying problems and/or concerns, rather than just dealing with superficial things.
So – do any of the things below surprise you guys who are regular (or not so regular) readers? Leave your comments and let me know what you think about my personality, now that you’ve heard my voice in the podcast interview John Dobbs did a couple of weeks ago, ya’ hear?!
The multiple personality test showed, as you can see, that I’m highly musical. Thus I:
- Have good rhythm (except when trying to walk!)
- Can easily memorize songs (true)
- Notice and enjoy different sounds (true)
- Often singing, whistling or tapping a song (in my head, anyway)
- Talented with an instrument or singing (I used to be able to play clarinet and piano)
- Can tell when a note is off-key (absolutely)
- Often have a song running through [my] head (always)
- Have an unquenchable passion for music (I LOVE music)
I also am:
- Introverted
- Prefers working alone
- Philosophical
- Self-aware
- Perfectionistic
- Often thinks of self-employment
- Enjoys journaling
- Intuitive
- Independent
- Spends time thinking and reflecting
- Likes learning about self
I would comment individually on the above, but they are all very true, so won’t comment on each. Any thoughts about me, yet, guys?
Finally, when it comes to math, I:
- Can easily do math in [my] head (I usually can)
- Good at strategy games (especially with Tom – ha!)
- Have a mind "like a computer" (boy, that’s me, let me tell you – mind like a steel trap – or computer – take your pick!)
- Really like math (well, I used to when I was in school)
- Enjoy science experiments
- Organize things by category
- Abstract thinker
- Look for a rational explanations
- Wonder how things work
I have a lot of intuition, but like to make decisions based on logic, when possible. Not all things in life are logical and rational, but most are if you stop to think about them!
So that’s it – what do y’all think? Com’n. You can tell me. I’m a sensitive sort, but I can handle it!

Wow…those are a little surprising based on what I’ve read here so far. Interesting…seems like ALOT of those would fit me. But I’m not sure…I should take those tests and see what my results turn out to be!
What song am I thinking about right now?
The last time I took those tests the computer delivered a nasty shock to me as the website alerted the authorities to my whereabouts.
Of course, I’m the same guy who, everytime he puts his ATM card in the machine, is pretty sure somewhere a message is being sent to the effect of “kill this person immediately.”
I am not surprised Dee. I always thought you were a visionary!

i just did the myers briggs test and I came out as an “artist” ISFP, which I don’t think is correct.
i am not good at answering questions and evaluating myself.
