Sorry I've not posted in the past couple of days.  I've not been feeling real well from extremely low blood pressure still even though we cut back a bit on one of my blood pressure medications.

We never could find our blood pressure monitor that we had, so I was forced to go buy a new rather expensive one yesterday.  Couldn't get the first very expensive one that was recommended by the Walgreen's pharmacist to work, so took it back and exchanged it for a slightly less expensive one with a $20 rebate, thus saving me $40 all together.

Got home, put batteries in and tried it out and sure enough I was low.  First reading was 81/45, second was 79/41 and third bottomed out at 70/39!!  I was really really light headed that whole time, too, which was about an hour's time between the three readings.

Tom arrived home about then and said if I got a lower reading than the 70/39 he was taking me to the hospital, but fortunately the readings began to slowly come back up a bit.  The highest one all evening (and only "normal" reading I got) was 124/61.

I have a doctor's appointment today with my endocrinologist so intend to have a long talk with her about this because I've been having major problems still since that night I fell with light headedness, and sometimes extreme light headedness, as if I'm going to pass out.  I can't keep doing this.

Yesterday evening at supper time I didn't take my BP medication, nor did I take the different one at bedtime.  When I saw my first up and about reading this morning - 85/45 - I decided not to take my morning BP medication, either, because I can't handle all of this, folks.  It's unnerving, as well as dangerous, i.e., my bad fall when I cracked my head good.

Thus, my excuse for not writing sooner.  I've been lying around trying to keep from passing out!

Hopefully, this afternoon I can get my doctor to take this really seriously and help me find a solution.  The reason I'm taking BP to begin with is for my heart and my kidneys, but the side effects have gotten worse than the problem, which I had in the beginning slightly, but now have bottomed out the other direction.  Time for some changes.

I guess that's it for today.  Not much else going on around here right now except that the weather is a little cooler with less humidity, which is great.  Love the fall.  The trees in the backyard are changing color slightly and look really pretty.  There are a lot of shades of red out from the deck at eye level that is really nice.  Great, actually.  Love it.

Gotta go get ready to see the doctor.  Wish me well and pray we can get this problem resolved.  Cutting back on the meds seems to me to be the best answer, but then I'm merely the patient, so don't know what they are going to say.  I say enough!

Cheers & Blessings to you all today!  Dee

    Dee,
I will keep you in my prayers that the Dr.’s will find how to treat it and that most of all you will be healed. God bless you and hope you have a great day sister.

We miss you Dee but you take care of first things first - that would be you. I think my first period has collective low blood pressure or it may be my dynamic morning person personality that is over-whelming them.

We’ll keep you in our prayers.

I suppose one should put health above blogging. Hope you get the BP under control soon.

I pray that you recover your strength and that your blood sugar stableizes.
