D is for . . .

For my D word, I'm thankful for David Patrick O'Neil, my first born child and older son.

I was only 18 years old when David was born, so we sort of grew up together.  We were always very close and I love him very much.

David is very gifted, having an I.Q. in the genius range.  The problem is that he knows it (obviously, being so smart) and tends to be, shall we say, a bit opinionated.  Especially with his younger brother and sister.  But we all know how he is and just laugh when he starts (what does Bill O'Reilly say) "bloviating."  Bloviate is the perfect word to describe David.

But, he's a good son who is very kind and personable to all he meets.

So share with us what D word you are thankful for.  (I started to add "Dee" because I'm thankful to be alive and to be here.  In fact, one commenter already mentioned me in the last post under the C's getting a bit ahead of himself.!)

And Cheers & Blessings to you each today!  Dee

Indeed, ‘D’ is for Dee! I’ve been coming by here and reading on a regular basis for about six months now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us!

I am grateful for my dog! She is my therapist, my companion and my footwarmer. She lets Mr. Neva and I live with her and we are grateful.

    Peace

My friend Donna - I underestimated her at first, but she has taught me so much about trusting God. Plus, she is known for her hilarious “Donnaisms” - things she has said or done when she wasn’t trying to be funny. She is a true gem of a friend.

“D” is for dog. I am thankful for Murphy who slept with me all day yesterday when I was sick. As I type this he is laying/lying on my legs. (one of these days I am going to get laying and lying straight. I bet you could tell me how to remember the correct usage.
Also “D” is for Dee, my friend I have only known online but hope to meet someday.

D is for “Dee” best — well — others beat me to that - D is for Dads– I’m thankful for my Dad. He is 90 and I owe him for a lot of what I am and he istill teaching me things about perserverence and commitment — he has been an example of faith — and Idon’t want to imaginewere I might be without that example.

    God Bless
    Charlie

(I just thought of 2 more d’s –because I’m a “day” late and a “dollar” short as the saying goes.
