O is for . . .

I'm thankful today for
Opportunities.
We have all kinds of opportunities in life in every kind of way. The right opportunity at the right time in our life can change the entire direction of our life for the better.
By far the best opportunity we ever have is to decide to follow Christ and to become a Christian. That opportunity not only makes our life better, but gives us life eternal starting here and now.
I'm also thankful for
Oboes.
Oboes have a beautiful "voice" in the Orchestra, another "O" word I'm thankful for because I love music. Music transports us to a heavenly realm and makes us long for home.
So, what "O" words are you thankful for today, or would you rather share with us some opportunities you've taken in life for which you were grateful.
I'll share one. Years ago when I was a young stay at home mom in my early 30s, having never worked outside my home, I had the opportunity to take a job at a daily newspaper as Community Editor making $150 a week.
The pay was below lousy, but the job looked interesting and I was in a deep depression at the time, so went for it. Not only did it turn my life around, raising me up beyond the depression, on my first day at work I met young Tom Andrews, the advertising director.
The rest is history.
We became fast friends and after much water under the bridge and many life changes later were married some 12 years later.
That opportunity in my life occurred some 28 1/2 years ago and I am still thankful I took it.
How about you? Any opportunities that have changed your life for the better?
Dee
I’m so behind on blogging, but happy to catch up with your last couple of weeks of posts today. The opportunities I’m thankful for are the opportunities to know God, to know my wife, and to have a family.
ONE…one step… one day…one kiss…one Christ…one love etc….
It all starts with One!
I am thankful for all the others Jesus puts into my life. Others who help me grow and stretch, who help open my eyes and soften my heart, others who encourage and support me, others who love me.
‘O’ is for opportunities, huh? That’s a really good one! I’m thankful for the opportunity to be a Christian and what that means for me not only in eternity, but in the here and now. I have the opportunity to have a relationship with the Creator of the world, and at any time, I am able to approach His throne as His child and speak with Him.
O is for Orange– I’ve had a cold and I’m thankful for the Vitamin C in Oranges. I also like them all the time. Orange — remindsmeofoneofmygrandson’sjokes
