Last, But Not Least . . . Z is for . . .

I'm thankful for my little five year old granddaughter, Zoe. Zoe lives here in Picayune with her daddy, Mark, her mama, Lynn, and sisters, Hannah & baby Kayci.
Zoe likes frogs and bugs and snails and, especially, starfish. I've given her a couple of real ones to treasure and she's always looking for starfish.
She loves to come "fishing" at Grandma Dee's house, so her daddy brings her out here and down to the creek to catch minnows in a net. She just has to hold them afterward, and sort of squeezes them as she tries to catch them in the bucket so they often meet their demise before they ever make it back home.
Mark tried letting her keep one in a little fish bowl one day, but the minnow didn't take too well to clean tap water after being in the nutritious creek water, so that experiment didn't last long.
Zoe also likes animals and wants a pet chicken. I don't think that's going to happen, but it's fun to think about.
Speaking of animals, another "Z" word is ZOO, which is a good one. New Orleans has the big Audubon Zoo and Mark and Lynn take the girls there often to see all of the animals. It's a great zoo, hosting the famed white tigers. They aren't albino - they're just white with black stripes. Pretty, too.
The Audubon Zoo does have some albino animals, though. Albino alligators! That's a sight to behold.
So, we've finished our thankful alphabet! Does anyone out there have any "Z" words to share today? Or perhaps words of other letters that you missed while we were going through the alphabet.
Share them here today in comment and next let's start thinking about Christmas! It's coming soon.
Cheers & Blessings to each of you today! Dee
“Zee haf vays hof making you share!”
Zoink was a great Three Stooges term for what Moe would do to Larry and Curly.
I have to agree with Zoe on this one. I just love my first born little girl!! She is a mess but she is pure sunshine
“Zoe Group” - instrumental (no pun intended) in bringing worship renewal to our movement.
Good series, Dee! Now let’s see ya do it backwards…
Z is for…
Z (Zed if you are a Canuck!!) is for Zest — Thankful I am for the zest of life — and prayerful I am for the zeal to pursue the one true way who gives life meaning.
God Bless you in the Christmas season

I am thankful for zippers–without them my coat would not keep me near as warm on this beautiful winter day!
