I was cleaning out and throwing away old computer disks of sizes we can no longer use, including those little square ones and zip disks, when I came across a title to a book I wanted to write. God Runs Ahead.
I had gotten the idea one day several years ago while talking to a lady I knew through my law practice who we did business with. She was a court runner. Picked up documents to be filed in courts in the area, filed them for us, and then brought them back.
We were just talking, but talking about Godly things. She was a writer in her "down" time, which wasn’t often, and had written several Christian books that she was trying to get published.
In talking about her life and how she dealt with her always busy schedule, she said that she was able to do it because "God runs ahead." She explained that wherever we are in life and whatever we’re doing, God has already been there and knows what is ahead for us.
I find that to be a really comforting thought, you know?! I mean, it means I can quite worrying about everything and quite being so anxious about things, which I’m still having a lot of problems with in trying to get out of this depression, and have a calm and peaceful spirit.
That is what I’m striving for, and always have been. I think I’m a whole lot further down the road in following God, Who is ahead, remember, than I was in my younger years, but I want to do even better.
I try to do the things to cultivate a quiet spirit and think they are very important for us all to do. Too many of us rush from one thing to another as if going off to fires in every direction when we need to slow down and just "be."
We can do more when we’ve had a quiet time of peace and mental rest and relaxation than we can be overdoing and totally wearing ourselves out.
Think about these things today. God runs ahead, so He knows the path much more clearly than we ever will. We must fully and completely trust Him to guide us along the right way.
In the meantime, Cheers & Blessings to you all today! Dee

Morning Dee,
hope ya have a great day!

That’s a good thought that we all probably know or believe, but just need to be reminded often!! At least I do.
Hi Dee, I hope the depression is really lifting for yu. I like this post. Too many people seem to think that if they aren’t busy, they aren’t worth anything. Remember the saying, “If you want something done, ask a busy woman she’ll fit it in?” I always wondered about that. when does she have time to rest and know God and her family? What happens during the times she can’t fill with busyness? Just because a person smiles doesn’t mean they are content or happy.
Love, Pat
We had a Think Next Seminar this past weekend and as I read your post (belatedly as I am trying to catch up!) I was reminded of a story told.
The Isrealites were going to cross the Jordan and God stopped the water 19 miles down stream so that when they stepped into the river, it was dry. He is always 19 miles down stream to prepare the way for us!
Just thought I would share this with you and remind you that God is already 19 miles down stream and preparing the way for you as well!!!!
Happy thoughts today!
Excuse me, I said down stream when I should have said upstream! Whatever, God is working ahead of us, is the point.
