Since my mind is totally blank today (too much relaxation over the weekend!), I'm going to ask you guys something.  What's your favorite food?  How often do you eat it?

Let's hear it, y'all!  Comment and help me out.

Cheers & Blessings to you all today!  Dee

Chipotle burrito, hands down. Chipotle chicken, rice, grilled peppers and onions, fresh-grated cheese, and fresh salsa. And right about now, having had chicken chettinad and various curries for a couple of days in beautiful downtown Chennai, India, that burrito is sounding sooooo good.

It is very tough to narrow it down, and while I like a good steak and a well crafted sandwhich, I think my favorite of all is fish and chips from the Newmans fishmarket in Eugene, Oregon. You have to try it if you are ever in Duck country.

Chocolate would be first, and I must say I eat it almost every day. Second, I would have to agree with mak, would be TexMex, but I don’t get to eat that very often (ColoradoMex is just not the same) and third is a tie between Mediterranean and Asian. Can you tell I like food?!

Something we cannot find out in California … southern Bar B Qued pork. The kind that is smoked for hours and hours over either hickory or mesquite wood (as opposed to the stuff that is flavored by a sauce … God forbid!) and just falls off the bone. Something else we don’t get out here is just really good, tasty, home grown veggies. Nothing better than a home grown tomato (lots of acid), fried corn, and fried okra with some white beans cooked with a ham hock. Dang I’m hungry!!

Fresh picked hot out of the pot slathered in butter with lots of salt & pepper corn on the cob — it doesn’t get any better than that — And I never get enough since it onlycomes around a few times each year.

(Throw in a baked potato and a nice medium done juicy steak of the grill and I’ll think I’ve died and gone to heaven!!!)

    God Bless

    I love shrimp!

    And chocolate!

    But not together.

I usually only have shrimp once or twice a month.

I have chocolate alot more often than I should.

Oh yeah, crab meat is another new favorite! Again, only have it about once a month or so…if even that often!

I love fresh baby spinach salads with walnuts, fresh fruit, goat cheese and green onions with raspberry dressing.

I love lots of foods. But nothing beats hamburgers that you’ve made yourself on the grill.

    Yum Yum!

Hard to answer for someone like me. I don’t think there is anything that I haven’t liked that I put in my mouth. It shows too ;). But if I have to pick, I would say, my own recipe for grilling Rib-eye steak or brisket on the grill. Muy delicious!

We love to grill the rib-eyes from Sam’s that about an inch thick and have baked potatoes and salad. Getting that time of year where we find we do it almost weekly.

Gotta go to make a run to Sams!

    So what is your favorite!?!

I am with Charlie–corn on the cob–real corn that is grown in the field, not the faux corn on the cob one buys in the freezer section–then homegrown tomatoes and a nice meat off the grill–too too good!

I have discovered a wonderful combination. I like to get Mexican rice and dump an order of Pico de gallo on it and then mix in a little red sauce like they serve with chips. Nearly everywhere I have purchased this it is cheap enough that I can add an order of flan for dessert! Sometimes I get to craving this so I guess it could count as a favorite food.

Anything from Pei Wei or, failing that, some Louisiana style dirty rice and beans!

I guess my favorite thing is filet mignon from Ruth’s Chris Steak House, which I haven’t had in two years. I also love Spaghetti with Mizthra cheese from Old Spaghetti Factory. We don’t have either of these restaurants in Tucson. My favorite thing to cook at home (when I cook) is tacos or lasagna. I am with Greg on the Bar-B-Que pork. I guess I like most food - but not cottage cheese, liver or most fish. I love fried catfish and hushpuppies. I haven’t had breakfast so I am getting up and having a cinnamon roll that I bought at Fry’s (Kroger to the east coast) last night because I wanted something sweet at 9:00 PM.

Chocolate, which I have too often, but I like a lot of foods. My favorite snack right now is apple slices with peanut butter on them. If you like BBQ and are ever in Arkansas, do yourself a favor and try The Whole Hog-yum!!! We are excited that they just opened one in Jonesboro.
