Spamalot - What About You?

I've been feeling well, over all, but today haven't felt so well.  As a result, I didn't even come in here to my office and computer until after 4 p.m.

The first thing I always do is to check my e-mail and, boy, today was I surprised.  My mailbox was absolutely filled with SPAM from my blogs (Finding Direction and Grace Notes)!  There were 20 something separate e-mails from WordPress asking me to moderate them.

I went to my WP dashboard and marked them all at once as SPAM and that took care of it, but while I've been sitting here a couple more have come in to be moderated.

How about any of you, either readers or other bloggers?  Have you had any trouble with a lot of spam lately?  WordPress blocks the vast majority of it out (unlike Blogger, when I was using it - Ugh!), so I don't know how this stuff got through today.

    I use Akismet, and it takes care of almost all of spam.

    We have been great since we upgraded to the new Norton 360. It also allows you to by all the GB of space you need at their secure site to download and keep all of your documents….pics…etc so now if our computer happens to crash EVERYTHING is safe!!

    I don’t get much spam at my Blogger blog (almost 0), but my Wordpress one gets a little bit. Akismet takes care of 99.99% of it.

    Spam comes in droves some days, and other days I get almost none. Earlier this week a comment from Steve “The Puckster” Puckett was marked as spam, so I figure the system is doing it’s job just fine!! :) As with others, I use Akismet and that seems to weed out much of it. Where I really get the spam is my gmail account … 40-50 every day, 24/7/365. And most of it has to do with some type of sexual perversion. That’s really annoying.

    I’m still a “blogger slug.” Haven’t seen any spam on blogger for quite some time.

    I hardly get any at all. I have gmail.
