Since we are not that far apart, you probably know it's the same weather here, sigh.

I hate summer. It is way too hot to be outside and we keep all the blinds closed to keep the sun from heating the house. Which it would in spite of the AC and fans all running. It tends to get me depressed, because it gives me a "cooped" up feeling. But.... fall is on it's way!!!

Hope gives life, grin.

I wish you'd send some rain out our way. It has been a blast furnace. Hot, dry and windy. I've heard mention that the weather patterns resemble the "Dirty 30's" of Dust Bowl fame.

We've been typical Michigan up here. We had two days in the low 90s, a lot of thunderstorms, most days around 80, and from time to time, incredible blue sky.

It is so beautiful up in Detroit this time of year as the gangs come out in their new colors...

We had days of dry weather here in Central Florida until our usual cure came along - start a week of Bible Camp. Once Camp started, so did our daily afternoon thunder showers.

Wish we would get some thunderstorms and rain, we are in a drought here and it won't be long till we are back under water restrictions as we get our water from the aquifer. Plenty hot here but windy in the evening so it cools down a bit!

It's 93 here in NE Arkansas, with 40% humidity. It feels pretty warm, but it's not bad at all in the shade. We go outside in the evenings after 7 or so. The kids play and we visit around, usually, or work on the yard. Not tonight, though-it's date night for my husband and me!

Well, we have been in Sturbridge, MA for the heat wave. Let me tell you that it was hot, but not as bad as in the South because the humidity wasn't as bad. Today we are at Cape Cod and experiencing cooler weather.

Amarillo is windy and parched. That's not unusual. What's different this year is that it's even dryer and windier than normal.

Earlier this week, a grass fire broke out near I-40 in Amarillo. Of course, it reminded everyone of the time when it seemed like the entire panhandle was on fire, two and half years ago.

The conditions are so severe, if it keeps up many farmers in this area could lose their crops. So we're praying for calm, rainy weather.

Dee,

It has been blazing hot here in Columbus ever since we moved back three weeks ago. But I'm not complaining. It beats the dickens out of constant the constant grey coolness of Rochester.

I'd love to be in those thunderstorms. It's been on the warm side, but we went down to San Diego today to pick up a person from the hospital adjacent to Torrey Pines Golf Club where the US Open is being played this week. It was a beautiful day there.
