Taking A Break Between Hurricanes

It's mostly sunny today, finally, after having rain all week after Gustav.  But, possible danger looms ahead with Hurricane Ike looking like it's going to head into the gulf by Monday.  (Track it here.)

We may be on the other end of things this time because Tom's older brother and his wife are driving over from Panama City, Florida tomorrow and will be staying with us, at least over the weekend.  Depending on where Ike decides to go, they may need to stay with us a few days longer because Panama City is on the Florida gulf coast.  I just hope we all won't have to be evacuating away from here!

We'll see.

Meanwhile, Tom is feeling better.  He's still coughing a lot, but getting a bit better day by day.  Especially so since I've been home!

I've got to run because I'm still way behind from last week's commotion getting ready for Gustav, being gone several days and having lots to do here since I've been home.  My suitcase is still not unpacked!

Here are some good thoughts I want to leave you with today for the weekend.  Y'all take care and have a great weekend, hear?  Cheers & Blessings to you all today!

You don't have to be the one responsible for making everything work.  Believe me.  The big things are already taken care of: The sun will rise in the morning, the stars will come out at night, and- if you work it right- a child, someone you love, or a dear, close friend, will share a special smile with you- and make everything wrong- right again.

Don’t you just love the excitement of living in a storm zone?

Still thinking of and praying for you. We may be in for another big one with Ike on the horizon.

    Great quote.
Hard to live in the south during hurricane season. I hope we all can pray Ike away as he leaves Cuba.

Hope Tom continues to get well. We’ll keep trying to pray Ike down and away from you.
