Coming Soon Near You: Chicken Empathy Museum

March 12th, 2009 · 3 Comments · Humor

Just read online at NOLA.com (New Orleans, LA) that PETA is wanting Louisiana’s governor, Bobby Jindal, to turn a bankrupt poultry processing plant into a "Chicken Empathy Museum" because chickens are smart and have feelings, too.

So, now you can feel guilty every time you eat good ol’ Southern fried chicken or boil an egg, I suppose.

Nah . . . not me.

That request ranks right up there with the comment I heard by an avid vegetarian movie star on a talk show that thinks we shouldn’t drink milk or eat butter because of the damage it does to the psyche of cows.

Your thoughts for the day?

Cheers!  Dee

Well, your blog completely ruined an otherwise perfectly good day! With Obama in the White House, Nancy and Harry running the Senate, and the economy tanking like a judgment from God, now I have to worry about the damage I am doing to the psyche of cows when I have a glass of milk each morning. Thanks a lot, Dee! :)

Puh-leeze! Those people need to get over it already. Don’t they read the Bible? Love your blog and glad to hear you are doing ok (even if you are a year older).

I hope they never turn our favorite Mexican restaurant into a “Chicken Museum.” I like my arroz con pollo!
