The pain has been such, I’ve not really been able to blog. What few hours I have most evenings are being spent on necessities around here that I am way behind on.
I’m looking forward to tomorrow afternoon when I see the orthopedist a second time, this time with my six precious MRI films. I’m hoping to resolve some issues so that I can take some steps forward in this ordeal.
As soon as I’m able, I’m longing to get back to The Great Road Trip of 2009. My mom called me this afternoon (I’d just gotten in from physical therapy) to see how I was doing (not too well, I told her – I’ve been in tears every day for a while from the pain) and she talked about what a wonderful time she had on our great adventure. She said she was so glad that I was feeling well then because we all had such a great time and it was such fun. Bless her heart.
Here for you today is a photo I took one afternoon out on the back porch while she & Laura were here. Notice the little "church" birdhouse Tom brought home to me from a recent trip and the cross I have sitting on the ledge nearby. Then there are my bright geraniums and antique telephone insulators in a beautiful turquoise blue.
God has blessed us with such a lovely home that I deeply appreciate as I lie most hours of the day in the recliner with the heating pad going and with Christian a cappella songs playing to lift my spirits and take my mind off the pain.

Many Blessings to each of you today! Dee

That porch looks so inviting! We sat for a while out by the pool tonight. We’ve done so much work around the pool and it looks so nice … finally! Hope you make some progress this week. Thanks for posting, even through the pain.
That’s a beautiful porch, Dee! It exudes peace, and suggests a glass of iced tea.
So sorry you’ve had such a bad time. I pray it will soon get better.
Our prayers are with you. I hope to sit with you on that porch one day and talk about our grandkids.
