Last Sunday morning after worship with Hillcrest Church of Christ in Abilene, my daughter, Rebecca, and I drove over to ACU campus to the magnificent bronze sculpture, “Jacob’s Dream.”
The sculpture and surrounding carved stones, water fall and pool are not only overwhelmingly breathtaking, but deeply meditative. We spent more than an hour there breathing in the atmosphere and sitting on a stone talking quietly in the shade of the upright stones between us and the late morning sun.
Here’s a picture of Rebecca at the foot of the sculpture:
And here she is sitting on one of the stones that proclaim, in order, “whoever enters through the gate will be saved.”
See the rest below (see the cross from this angle?!):
Lord, bless us all as we seek to enter through the gate into eternal life with You.
Many blessings to each of you today! Dee

Great pictures. And Rebecca’s a pretty girl.
….and Amen!
She’s a spittin’ image of her mama, ain’t she? (Sorry, but I don’t get to use my best Southern English very often.)
I would love to see that in person. I can see why you felt comfortable enough to spend an hour there.
And…Rebecca is a beauty!
my favorite Zoe conference was built around the theme of Jacob’s dream. The brought pictures of this beautiful piece.
