Those of you who have been by here the past day or two will notice experimenting with changes in the appearance of Finding Direction: The Wind Vane Chronicles.
What say ye about this one?
Finding Direction has needed an upgraded theme for a very long time. After all, this blog is more than five years old, which has to be pretty ancient in the blog world.
I liked the one I tried yesterday. It was a vast improvement in its abilities from what I was using before. But, it just looked blah to me overall. No personality. Functionally it worked great, but didn’t have any pizazz, you know?
This is one I was wanting to try in the first place about a month ago, but was afraid of change. I’ve fought changing Finding Direction’s look now for a long time. Just ask the TheoBloggers, who have been quite patient with me through all of this. I think at times I had Brad (Palmore) ready to pull his hair out, and he’s a young man with a full head of hair!
Then, this morning – after yesterday’s piddlin’ around – I got really bold and switched themes again. I REALLY like this one and think that it is here to stay for a while. I even figured out how to customize the header on my own. Aren’t y’all proud of me?!
So, now that I’ve taken the plunge, I am happy I did and wonder why I didn’t do it a lot sooner.
We are like that in life (at least I am) about a whole lot of things. In fact, Tom & I have a jumble of changes we are making in our lives right now and it’s rather disconcerting. I woke up yesterday morning feeling very anxious about life in general. But, then I remembered that I am God’s child and He never changes, but is always stable and there for me, no matter how high the winds are that are trying to blow me away. With Him I find my direction. I may not know what lies ahead down the road for me, but I know that He does and will be my map and my guide through all and in all.
Come along with me for the ride, if you will. Me and God, as He holds my hand tightly. And, while we’re at it – and exploring the side roads a little – lets laugh together and have some fun! Laughter is a wonderful gift from the Lord, and infects even little children and babies with joy. (Just read Greg’s blog to find some great stories about his grandbabies laughing.)
Hope y’all are having a great and blessed weekend. I’ve got lots to do around here today because Tom has been patiently letting me play around here at Finding Direction without raising a fuss, but I’m behind in taking care of him! ha! So . . . y’all comment and let me know what you think.
Love y’all! Dee

I like the new look, it took me a bit to find where to leave a comment though. As you can see, I finally found it.
this one is nice ,
but i like the one ya had yesterday, but what do i know , I’m not a pizazz person
have a great weekend
Love this one! I didn’t see the other, since I read you in a feed reader most days…. just came to see it because you mentioned it in your post.
Thanks for the props … I like the new look, but liked the first one you did the best. I’ve been having that “anxious about life” syndrome for a couple of months now.
