Apparently, last time I didn't pick up many popcorn lovers, alas. However, that is not going to deter me one whit from posting my Part Deux to that delightful, ultimate gourmet food that Tom and I both savor. Well - we don't eat nearly as much as we used to, but still enjoy the "gourmet" [...]
[Note: I'm sorry I've been out of pocket and haven't posted something new the past couple of days. I've been feeling really bad with a couple of different things, including my blood pressure being precipitously low, despite the new medication. About an hour ago (11:40 a.m.) it was so low standing up that my blood [...]
I'm still here.I've been feeling completely overwhelmed and in shock the past several days with this new turn of events in my life, but have been doing my best, at Tom's guidance, which is God given, to focus on my life one precious moment at a time. And I literally mean, from one moment to the [...]

My autonomic vascular system has failed. In laymen's terms, my blood vessels no longer constrict and open as they should due to my diabetes and my blood pressure plunges precipitously when I go from lying down to sitting to standing. And the options to correct it are few and nebulous because of all of my other [...]

my husband, Tom, and my son, Mark, may be "stepdad" and "stepson," they

Those are the two most common hits I get on my blog, other than people looking specifically for me, so I thought I'd just post about them to give the people out there searching one place to land to find out what they want to know. After all - this is a full service blog, [...]
I want to comment on Monday's post about "Basic Rules For Daily Living." I've been thinking about them all week, and especially the first one about taking 20 minutes for yourself first thing every morning. I take that to heart. In fact, it's something that I've been practicing for quite a long time in my depression [...]
The new week started yesterday with bright sunshine, after a very bleak, cold, wet, dreary week. My mood brightened just a bit, too. When we moved into our house last summer, good friends gave us a fire pit as a housewarming gift. It was hot and muggy and while we appreciated the thought, it's use seemed [...]

It's warmed up and my circulation is back in working order. It's just after 10 a.m. here and the temperature is a mild 66 degrees with the high today set for about 75. That's my kind of weather! Thanks to you all for commenting on your heating and thermostat settings. I found your comments really interesting [...]
Hey!We made it through the cold snap and it's now back up to 48 degrees here at nearly noon today. That's still cold for here, but not as bad as 17 degrees and a hard freeze for a couple of nights. I mean, we're talking about South Mississippi. Now I understand it's supposed to be fairly [...]
